Standard Semi-Rigid Assemblies
RF Depot offers right angle semi-rigid
cable assemblies from stock to eliminate the need
for right angle connectors. These cable assemblies
use special bending techniques to achieve the same
excellent performance of swept right angle or
straight connectors at reasonable cost.
These RF Depot assemblies have a short right angle at
each end of a cable of nominal 12" to 18" length.
The intended application is for the customer to cut
this assembly into two parts and to finish the
assembly as required. The factory bent right angle
offers significantly better performance than a
mitered right angle connector and a lower cost than
the equivalent swept or high performance adapter.
This unique RF Depot construction offers the opportunity
for the cable assembly to be tested before the
secondary operation of customizing. Right angle
"pigtails" supplied by others are difficult to examine
electrically at incoming inspection and the vendor
usually disclaims all responsibility for electrical
performance of the resulting assembly. RF Depot now
offers a longer more versatile 18" assembly at a
lower cost that the previous 12" assembly.
Custom assemblies and other lengths are available
with reasonable prices and deliveries.
